Flexible, Reusable Seed Starting Tray

The FlexiGerm – by Root Nerds offers a simple, low-tech alternative to powered seed warmers, perfect for growers who value flexibility and reusability. Made from food-grade EU-certified silicone, it provides a gentle, stable environment for early-stage germination without relying on complex electronics.

Heat-Retaining Silicone Design

Each FlexiGerm tray features six oversized germination pods designed to fit standard 2.25" (5.7cm) cotton pads. The high-grade silicone traps warmth from your chosen SAFE heat source—like a seedling mat or ambient lighting—while internal airflow channels help prevent stagnant, overly humid conditions.

Secure, Easy-Access Lid

Two embedded corner magnets hold the lid firmly in place while still allowing quick access. Unlike brittle plastic domes or single-use bags, the FlexiGerm lid opens effortlessly—no tugging, twisting, or tearing.

Plastic-Free, Scalable, and Built to Last

FlexiGerm eliminates the need for single-use plastics while still offering structure and scalability. Its durable construction and intuitive layout make it easy to line up multiple trays for larger germination runs.

How to Use:

  • Place FlexiGerm on a flat surface near a SAFE heat source (heat mat, top of fridge, grow light, etc.)

  • Moisten cotton pads and insert into each pod

  • Add seeds to center of each pad

  • Place lid on top and monitor for humidity and sprouting

  • Once roots appear, transplant to your preferred medium
